Gin Swizzle

Bright, zesty lime and gin form a clean, tart backbone while a touch of caster sugar softens the edges and aromatic bitters add subtle spice. Finished with soda, it’s fizzy and refreshing with a frosted Collins presentation that looks crisp and inviting. Worth trying when you want a light, citrus-forward highball that’s easy to make but more interesting than a simple gin & tonic.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz Lime Juice
  • 1 tsp Caster Sugar
  • 2 oz Gin
  • Dash Aromatic Bitters
  • 3 oz Soda Water

Instructions

  1. Fill a shaker halfway with ice cubes.
  2. Add lime juice, superfine sugar, gin, and bitters to the shaker.
  3. Shake the mixture vigorously until combined.
  4. Fill a collins glass with ice cubes almost to the top.
  5. Stir the ice in the glass until it is frosted.
  6. Strain the shaken mixture into the frosted glass.
  7. Top off the drink with club soda.
