Block and Fall

A boozy, aromatic short cocktail that layers apple brandy and cognac with bright orange from Cointreau and a whisper of anise from Pernod. It pours clear into a chilled cocktail glass and tastes rich, fruity and citrusy with a herbal/licorice finish, great for someone who enjoys spirit-forward, complex sippers.

Ingredients

  • 0.75 oz Cognac
  • 0.75 oz Cointreau® Orange Liqueur
  • 0.75 oz Calvados
  • 0.5 oz Pernod®

Instructions

  1. Combine cognac, Cointreau, and Calvados in a shaker.
  2. Add Pernod to the mixture.
  3. Fill the shaker with ice cubes.
  4. Shake vigorously until well chilled.
  5. Strain the mixture into a chilled cocktail glass.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy responsibly.
