Baron Cocktail

A crisp, gin-forward cocktail with bright citrus from the triple sec and a subtle herbal dryness from the vermouths; a squeeze of lemon lifts the aroma. It pours clear and pale in a chilled cocktail glass and drinks like a slightly sweeter, more aromatic martini. Worth trying if you enjoy spirit-forward, citrus-twisted classics as an aperitif.

Ingredients

  • 0.5 oz Dry Vermouth
  • 0.5 tsp Sweet Vermouth
  • 1.5 tsp Triple Sec Liqueur
  • 1.5 oz Gin

Instructions

  1. Chill a cocktail glass by filling it with ice water and setting it aside.
  2. In a mixing glass, combine the dry vermouth, sweet vermouth, triple sec, and gin.
  3. Add ice to the mixing glass until it nearly reaches the brim.
  4. Stir the mixture gently for about 30 seconds to chill and dilute the drink slightly.
  5. Empty the cocktail glass of ice water, then strain the mixture into the glass.
  6. Garnish with a lemon wedge by placing it on the rim of the glass.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy.
