Rum Ramsay

A balanced, spirit-forward cocktail that marries the bright, grassy notes of white rum with the warm oak and caramel of bourbon, lifted by a sharp squeeze of lime and rounded with sugar. Served over broken ice with the spent lime shell, it looks pale amber and delivers aromatic citrus oils and a whisper of Peychaud's bitters, an intriguing contrast of tropical freshness and whiskey depth worth trying if you like bold yet smooth stirred drinks.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz White Rum
  • 1 oz Bourbon
  • 0.25 oz Lime Juice
  • 0.33 oz Sugar Syrup
  • 1 dash Peychaud's® Bitters

Instructions

  1. Squeeze fresh lime juice into a mixing glass and include the spent lime shell for added flavor.
  2. Add the white rum, bourbon whiskey, sugar syrup, and Peychaud bitters to the mixing glass.
  3. Stir the mixture thoroughly to ensure all ingredients are combined well.
  4. Strain the mixture into an old-fashioned glass filled with broken ice.
  5. Serve immediately.
