Bright, bittersweet and lightly botanical, the Shaft combines Aperol's orange-bitter sweetness with gin's juniper-driven backbone and lively sparkling wine effervescence. It pours a glowing coral-orange in a tall glass topped with bubbles and ice. A simple, refreshing aperitif that feels more complex than its ingredient list implies and is perfect for sipping before a meal.

Ingredients

  • 3 cl Aperol® Aperitivo
  • 3 cl Gin
  • Fill Sparkling White Wine

Instructions

  1. Add a generous amount of ice cubes to a highball glass.
  2. Pour 3 cl of Aperol over the ice.
  3. Add 3 cl of gin to the glass.
  4. Stir the mixture gently to combine the ingredients.
  5. Top up the glass with sparkling white wine, allowing it to fill the remainder of the glass.
