Monte-Sano

A bright, refreshing rum cooler that balances the rich, molassesy depth of Myers's dark rum with zesty lemon and a hint of aromatic bitters. Piled over crushed ice in a hurricane and topped with soda, it’s effervescent and tropical with a satisfying boozy backbone, great when you want a citrus-forward, easy-drinking rum cocktail.

Ingredients

  • 1 part Myers's® Original Dark Rum
  • 1 part Mount Gay® Eclipse Rum
  • 1 splash Aromatic Bitters
  • 1 part Soda Water
  • 1 oz Lemon Juice
  • 1 pinch Granulated Sugar

Instructions

  1. Combine the Myers Special Dark Rum, Mount Gay Barbados Eclipse Rum, lemon juice, bitters, and sugar in a mixing glass.
  2. Stir well until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  3. Fill a hurricane glass with crushed ice.
  4. Pour the mixture over the crushed ice in the glass.
  5. Top with a splash of club soda.
  6. Serve immediately.
