Old Etonian

A delicate, low-ABV aperitif that balances gin's botanical clarity with Lillet Blanc's floral, wine-like sweetness and a whisper of almond from the crème de noyaux. Pale straw in color and served up with an orange twist, it tastes lightly citrusy, slightly bitter, and elegantly smooth. Worth trying if you want a refined, easy-drinking pre-dinner cocktail with subtle complexity.

Ingredients

  • 0.5 oz Gin
  • 0.5 oz Lillet® Blanc
  • 1 dash Orange Bitters
  • 1 dash Crème de Noyaux Liqueur

Instructions

  1. Combine the gin, Lillet® Blanc wine, orange bitters, and creme de noyaux in a mixing glass.
  2. Fill the mixing glass halfway with ice cubes.
  3. Stir the mixture thoroughly to ensure proper chilling and mixing of flavors.
  4. Strain the cocktail into a chilled cocktail glass to remove the ice.
  5. Garnish with a twist of orange peel for added aroma and presentation.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy.
