Mr. New Yorker

Aromatic, vermouth-forward and gently sweet, with herbal complexity from the French vermouth and a nutty, saline note from dry sherry, brightened by a dash of orange liqueur and a subtle gin backbone. It pours clear and pale amber into a chilled cocktail glass, a smooth, sophisticated aperitif worth trying if you like nuanced, old-school stirred cocktails.

Ingredients

  • 1.75 oz French Vermouth
  • 0.5 oz Gin
  • 0.5 oz Dry Sherry
  • 1 dash Cointreau® Orange Liqueur

Instructions

  1. Combine the French vermouth, gin, dry sherry, and a dash of Cointreau® orange liqueur in a mixing glass half-filled with cracked ice.
  2. Stir the mixture thoroughly until well-chilled.
  3. Strain the mixture into a chilled cocktail glass.
  4. Serve immediately.
