Ginza Strip

A light, elegant sipper that pairs sake's delicate rice character with a touch of sweet vermouth and a whisper of Angostura bitterness. Pale and translucent in a chilled cocktail glass with a single cherry, it tastes smooth, subtly sweet and herbaceous with a clean, slightly bitter finish. Great as a lower-ABV alternative to stirred cocktails and an easy, refined aperitif to try at home or order at a bar.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Sake
  • 2 dashes Sweet Vermouth
  • 1 dash Angostura® Bitters

Instructions

  1. Chill a cocktail glass by filling it with ice water while you prepare the drink.
  2. In a mixing glass, combine sake rice wine, sweet vermouth, and Angostura® bitters with a generous amount of ice.
  3. Stir the mixture gently with a bar spoon until well chilled.
  4. Discard the ice water from the cocktail glass and strain the mixed drink into the glass.
  5. Garnish with a cherry to complete the presentation.
