Sazerac

Bold whiskey backbone with bright lemon and aromatic anise from the Ricard and Peychaud's bitters; a whisper of sugar softens the edges. It’s a warm amber, spirit-forward sipper finished with a lemon twist, concentrated, aromatic, and distinctly New Orleans, perfect for those who enjoy intense, balanced cocktails.

Ingredients

  • 50 ml Cognac
  • 10 ml Absinthe
  • 1 Sugar
  • 2 dashes Peychaud's® Bitters

Instructions

  1. Rinse a chilled old-fashioned glass with the absinthe, add crushed ice and set it aside. Stir the remaining ingredients over ice in a mixing glass. Discard the ice and any excess absinthe from the prepared glass, strain the mixed drink into the glass.
