Lone Tree Cooler

A bright, bubbly gin cooler with a subtle dry-vermouth herbal note and a touch of confectioners' sugar for silkiness; the soda keeps it light and effervescent. Visually it's tall and refreshing, sparkling water, ice, a lemon twist and an orange spiral draped over the rim, perfect as an easy aperitif or summer refresher.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Carbonated Water
  • 2 oz Gin
  • 1 tblsp Dry Vermouth
  • 0.5 tsp Confectioners' Sugar

Instructions

  1. Stir the powdered sugar with a splash of carbonated water in a collins glass until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  2. Fill the glass with ice cubes.
  3. Pour the gin and dry vermouth over the ice and stir gently.
  4. Top the glass with carbonated water and stir lightly to mix the ingredients.
  5. Garnish with a twist of lemon peel and place an orange spiral for decoration, with the end hanging over the rim of the glass.
