Bastardo

A light, vermouth-forward highball with herbal and bittersweet notes from the dry and sweet vermouths, rounded by a splash of brandy and aromatic bitters. It arrives effervescent and pale, topped with club soda for a refreshing, easy-drinking finish. Worth trying if you like delicate, aperitif-style cocktails that are flavorful without being heavy or overly boozy.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz Dry Vermouth
  • 1 oz Sweet Vermouth
  • 0.5 oz Brandy
  • 2 dashes Aromatic Bitters
  • Fill Soda Water

Instructions

  1. Pour dry vermouth, sweet vermouth, and brandy into a highball glass filled with ice.
  2. Add dashes of bitters to the mixture.
  3. Top the drink with club soda until the glass is full.
  4. Gently stir to mix all the ingredients evenly.
