Hasty Cocktail

A gin-forward stirred cocktail that balances the dry, herbal bite of dry vermouth with a bright, sweet pomegranate note from grenadine and a lingering licorice/anise finish. It pours a pale rosy hue and is clear and elegant in a chilled cocktail glass. Worth trying if you like classic gin-and-vermouth templates with an unexpected sweet-licorice twist.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz Gin
  • 0.75 oz Dry Vermouth
  • 0.25 tsp Anise
  • 1 tsp Grenadine

Instructions

  1. Combine the gin, dry vermouth, anis, and grenadine in a mixing glass.
  2. Add ice to the mixing glass and stir gently to chill the ingredients.
  3. Strain the mixture into a chilled cocktail glass.
  4. Serve immediately.
