The Drink Without a Name

Bright orange citrus from the Cointreau greets the palate, while a whisper of yellow Chartreuse adds floral-herbal complexity and sweetness on top of a clean vodka backbone. It pours clear to pale gold, served up with an expressive orange twist, a deceptively simple, spirit-forward sipper for someone who likes citrus with an herbal edge.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Vodka
  • 0.25 oz Cointreau® Orange Liqueur
  • 0.125 oz Chartreuse® Yellow Liqueur

Instructions

  1. Chill a cocktail glass by filling it with ice and water, then set it aside.
  2. In a mixing glass, combine the vodka, Cointreau, and yellow Chartreuse.
  3. Add cracked ice to the mixing glass and stir until the mixture is well chilled.
  4. Strain the drink into the chilled cocktail glass, emptying the ice and water first.
  5. Garnish with a twist of fresh orange peel, bending it over the drink to release the oils.
