Gin Smash

Bright and mint-driven with a clean gin backbone and a light sweetness from a muddled sugar cube, finished with a fizzy lift from carbonated water. It looks simple and classic: an old-fashioned glass with a single large ice cube, mint spears, and a cheerful orange slice and cherry on top. Worth ordering if you want a refreshing, herbaceous sipper that’s easy to make and delightfully quaffable on warm days.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Gin
  • 1 oz Carbonated Water
  • 1 cube Granulated Sugar
  • 4 sprigs Mint Sprigs

Instructions

  1. Begin by gently muddling the sugar cube with a small amount of carbonated water and the mint sprigs in an old-fashioned glass until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Pour in the gin and add one ice cube to the glass.
  3. Stir the mixture thoroughly to combine and chill the ingredients.
  4. Gently place an orange slice and a cherry on top as garnish before serving.
