Licorice Twist

Sweet blackcurrant syrup and anise-forward Pernod mingle with bright lemonade for a fruity yet herbal sip. The blackcurrant brings jammy berry sweetness while the Pernod contributes a distinct licorice/anise edge. Poured over ice in a highball and gently layered, it looks striking with separated colors and is worth trying if you enjoy playful, low-ABV long drinks that balance sweet fruit and aromatic licorice.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz Blackcurrant Syrup
  • 1.5 oz Pernod®
  • 3 oz Lemonade

Instructions

  1. Fill a highball glass with ice cubes to chill the glass.
  2. Measure and pour the blackcurrant cordial over the ice.
  3. Add the Pernod® licorice liqueur to the glass.
  4. Top off with the lemonade, pouring gently to maintain the layered look.
  5. Stir lightly to ensure the ingredients are combined.
  6. Serve immediately.
