Irish Cocktail

A bold, spirit-forward sipper that balances the warmth of Irish whiskey with a pronounced licorice note from Pernod and bright cherry and orange sweetness from maraschino and white curaçao. It pours clear and amber into a chilled cocktail glass and drinks boozy yet surprisingly complex. Worth trying if you like aromatic, slightly sweet after-dinner cocktails with a distinctive anise lift.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz Irish Whiskey
  • 0.5 oz Pernod®
  • 0.25 oz Maraschino Cherry Liqueur
  • 0.5 oz White Curaçao Liqueur

Instructions

  1. Add Irish whiskey, Pernod® licorice liqueur, maraschino liqueur, and white Curacao liqueur into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  2. Shake the mixture vigorously until well-chilled.
  3. Strain the mixture into a chilled cocktail glass.
  4. Ensure the drink is perfectly chilled before serving.
