New Orleans Salty Dog

Bright, tart grapefruit juice with a clean vodka backbone and a savory coarse salt rim makes for a bracing, slightly bitter and very refreshing highball. Pale pink and simply presented in a salted highball glass, it's an easy, thirst-quenching choice for brunch or a hot afternoon.

Ingredients

  • 5 oz Grapefruit Juice
  • 1.5 oz Vodka

Instructions

  1. Coat the rim of a highball glass with coarse salt, ensuring an even layer around the glass edge.
  2. In a mixing glass filled with ice, combine the vodka and grapefruit juice.
  3. Stir the mixture gently to chill and blend the ingredients.
  4. Strain the mixture into the highball glass with the salted rim.
