Santiago Cocktail

Bright and approachable, the Santiago is a light, slightly sweet rum sour with a hint of pomegranate color from the grenadine. It looks pale pink in a chilled cocktail glass and tastes citrus-forward with a balancing sweetness from the powdered sugar and grenadine, an easy, refreshing sipper worth making when you want a crisp, low-effort cocktail.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz Light Rum
  • 0.25 tsp Grenadine
  • 1 Lime Juice
  • 0.5 tsp Confectioners' Sugar

Instructions

  1. Combine light rum, grenadine, lime juice, and powdered sugar in a shaker.
  2. Add ice to the shaker.
  3. Shake the mixture vigorously until well chilled.
  4. Strain the cocktail into a chilled cocktail glass.
  5. Serve immediately.
