Woodward Cocktail

Bright grapefruit lifts a peaty Scotch and the herbal dryness of dry vermouth, producing a brisk, slightly bitter-citrus profile with a smoky backbone. It pours pale straw to light amber and is a compact, refreshing sipper that showcases how a little citrus can brighten a whisky-forward cocktail.

Ingredients

  • 0.5 oz Dry Vermouth
  • 1.5 oz Scotch
  • 1 tblsp Grapefruit Juice

Instructions

  1. Begin by adding ice into a cocktail shaker to chill the mixture.
  2. Pour in the dry vermouth, followed by the scotch, and finally the grapefruit juice into the shaker.
  3. Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously until the outside of the shaker feels cold to the touch.
  4. Strain the mixture into a chilled cocktail glass to remove the ice.
  5. Serve immediately to enjoy the refreshing Woodward Cocktail.
