Kir

A Kir is an elegant, low-ABV French aperitif that pairs chilled dry white wine with a splash of sweet crème de cassis. It appears pale gold with a rosy tint, tastes light and fruity, sweet blackcurrant layered over a dry wine backbone, and is a simple, crowd-pleasing sipper to start a meal or brunch.

Ingredients

  • 6 oz Dry White Wine
  • 1 tblsp Crème de Cassis Liqueur

Instructions

  1. Chill a white wine glass before preparation.
  2. Pour dry white wine into the glass.
  3. Add Creme de Cassis to the wine, mixing gently to combine.
  4. Twist a lemon peel over the glass to release its oils, then add it as a garnish.
