Mexican Chocolate

A dessert-style cocktail that blends bittersweet cocoa and coffee liqueur with the warm, vanilla-tinged character of reposado tequila. It pours a deep chocolate brown over crushed ice in a chilled wine goblet and is brightened by a mint sprig for aroma, indulgent yet refreshing, great as an after-dinner treat.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz Tequila Reposado
  • 1 oz Kahlúa® Coffee Liqueur
  • 4 oz Cocoa

Instructions

  1. Fill a wine goblet with crushed ice, ensuring the glass is well-chilled.
  2. Measure and pour the gold tequila into a shaker.
  3. Add the Kahlua® coffee liqueur to the shaker with the tequila.
  4. Pour the chilled cocoa into the shaker with the other ingredients.
  5. Vigorously shake the mixture to blend the flavors and chill the ingredients.
  6. Strain the mixture into the prepared wine goblet over the crushed ice.
  7. Garnish with a fresh mint sprig on top before serving.
  8. Serve with short straws for easy sipping.
