Mint Julep #2

A bright, mint-forward julep where crushed ice and muddled mint uplift the rich, caramel and vanilla notes of bourbon. It’s frosty and aromatic, visually crowned with mint sprigs and perfect for a refreshing, old-school sip on a warm day.

Ingredients

  • 4 sprigs Mint Leaves
  • 1 tsp Caster Sugar
  • 3 oz Bourbon

Instructions

  1. Begin by gently muddling 4 mint sprigs with superfine sugar and a small amount of water in the bottom of your glass. This will help release the mint flavors.
  2. Once the mint and sugar are well-muddled, add crushed ice to nearly fill the glass, leaving some space at the top.
  3. Pour bourbon over the ice, allowing it to mix with the mint and sugar blend.
  4. Insert short straws into the drink for easy sipping.
  5. Finish by garnishing with the remaining 2 mint sprigs, positioning them attractively on the top.
