Ferris Wheel

Anise-forward and markedly sweet, the Ferris Wheel blends syrupy Sambuca with warming brandy for a concentrated, dessert-like sipper. It pours clear to pale amber and is brightened by a lemon twist that lifts the licorice notes. Worth trying if you enjoy bold, spirit-forward digestifs that are simple to make but richly aromatic.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz Sambuca
  • 1 oz Brandy

Instructions

  1. Fill a mixing glass halfway with ice cubes.
  2. Pour the Sambuca and brandy over the ice.
  3. Stir the mixture well to ensure it is chilled.
  4. Strain the liquid into a cocktail glass, leaving the ice behind.
  5. Garnish with a twist of lemon before serving.
