Chili Margarita

Bright, tropical pineapple and zesty lime/lemon juice mingle with a warming jalapeño heat from an aged tequila infusion, creating a sweet-tart cocktail with a spicy finish. It pours golden into a salt-rimmed margarita glass and is garnished with lime, lemon and a small jalapeño ring for a colorful, slightly daring presentation. Worth ordering if you like refreshing, fruit-forward drinks with buildable heat and bold flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1750 ml Tequila
  • 1 whole Pineapple
  • 6 whole Jalapeño Pepper
  • Fill Lime Juice
  • Fill Lemonade

Instructions

  1. Cut the fresh pineapple into large half-ring slices or chunks.
  2. Place the pineapple slices and whole jalapenos into a jar that holds at least 1 gallon.
  3. Fill the jar with tequila, covering the ingredients completely.
  4. Let the mixture age in a sealed jar for at least 2 weeks to infuse the flavors.
  5. After aging, fill a cocktail shaker with iced lemonade and fresh lime juice.
  6. Add 1 to 2 ounces of the pineapple-jalapeno infused tequila mixture, based on your taste preference.
  7. Shake well until all the ingredients are mixed thoroughly and chilled.
  8. Pour the mixture into a chilled margarita glass rimmed with salt.
  9. Garnish with a slice of fresh lime, a slice of fresh lemon, and a small jalapeno ring for additional flavor.
