Bombay Cocktail

A crisp, spirit-forward cocktail that blends brandy's warm, fruity core with equal parts dry and sweet vermouth for an herbal, slightly sweet backbone; a hint of triple sec and anise lends citrusy brightness and licorice lift. Strained up into a chilled cocktail glass, it looks pale amber and drinks like a refined, slightly warming sipper for those who enjoy complex, old-school fortified-wine cocktails.

Ingredients

  • 0.5 oz Dry Vermouth
  • 0.5 oz Sweet Vermouth
  • 1 oz Brandy
  • 0.5 tsp Triple Sec Liqueur
  • 0.25 tsp Anise

Instructions

  1. Begin by adding dry vermouth, sweet vermouth, brandy, triple sec and anis to a mixing glass filled with ice.
  2. Use a bar spoon to stir the mixture thoroughly, allowing the ice to chill and dilute the ingredients slightly.
  3. Once properly mixed, strain the cocktail into a chilled cocktail glass.
  4. Ensure no ice is included in the final serving.
  5. Serve immediately to enjoy at an optimal temperature.
