Max The Silent

A boozy, aromatic stirred cocktail where aged rum's vanilla and oak meet brandy and applejack's fruity backbone, rounded by a sweet anisette anise note. It pours a clear amber and drinks smooth and warming, making for an elegant, contemplative nightcap. Worth trying if you enjoy spirit-forward drinks with a pronounced licorice twist and layered depth.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz Aged Rum
  • 0.5 oz Brandy
  • 0.5 oz Laird's® Applejack Brandy
  • 1 tsp Anisette Liqueur

Instructions

  1. Combine Anejo rum, brandy, applejack, and anisette in a mixing glass.
  2. Fill the mixing glass halfway with ice cubes and stir the mixture thoroughly.
  3. Strain the mixture into a chilled cocktail glass.
