Brandy Julep

A Brandy Julep is a mint-forward, slightly sweet cocktail where rich, fruity brandy is softened by confectioners' sugar and brightened by fresh muddled mint. Served tall over finely shaved ice with a colorful fruit-and-cherry garnish, it’s an aromatic, refreshing twist on the classic julep that’s easy to enjoy on warm afternoons.

Ingredients

  • 2.5 oz Brandy
  • 1 tsp Confectioners' Sugar
  • 5 leaves Mint Leaves

Instructions

  1. Begin by adding the powdered sugar and mint leaves to a collins glass.
  2. Pour the brandy over the sugar and mint mixture.
  3. Fill the glass with finely shaved ice until it is full.
  4. Stir the ingredients gently, allowing the mint leaves to rise to the top. Be careful not to bruise the leaves.
  5. Decorate the drink with a garnish of a pineapple slice, orange slice, or lemon slice, and add a cherry on top.
