Ingredients
- 1.5 lb Peach
- 1 cup Granulated Sugar
- 4 strips Lemon Zest
- 2 cups Bourbon
Instructions
- Peel, pit, and slice the peaches, then place the slices into a saucepan.
- Combine the peaches with the sugar, stirring gently over low heat until the sugar fully dissolves and the peaches release their juices.
- Transfer the peach mixture into an aging container, incorporating the lemon peels and bourbon by stirring until well mixed.
- Seal the container and store it in a cool, dark place (or refrigerate if necessary) for a week, remembering to stir occasionally.
- After the week has passed, strain the mixture, pressing the liquid out of the peaches with the back of a wooden spoon, and filter it to ensure clarity.
- Enjoy it for cooking right away, but allow it to age another month for optimal drinking.
