Derby Fizz

A frothy, effervescent fizz that balances smoky Scotch with bright citrus and a sweet orange note from triple sec. It pours pale and fizzy with a silky, creamy mouthfeel from the whole egg, making it both refreshing and intriguingly smooth. Worth trying if you enjoy savory-smoky whiskies presented in a light, cocktail-forward format with a lively finish.

Ingredients

  • 0.75 oz Scotch
  • 0.5 oz Triple Sec Liqueur
  • 0.5 oz Lemon Juice
  • 0.5 tsp Granulated Sugar
  • 1 whole Egg
  • Fill Soda Water

Instructions

  1. Place cracked ice into a cocktail shaker.
  2. Add Scotch whisky, triple sec, lemon juice, sugar, and a whole egg into the shaker.
  3. Shake the mixture vigorously to fully combine all ingredients.
  4. Strain the mixture over ice cubes into a chilled Collins glass.
  5. Top the drink with soda water and gently stir to mix the flavors.
