Jock Collins

A bright, citrus-driven Collins that balances tart lemon and a touch of sugar with the malty, sometimes smoky character of Scotch, topped with soda for lively effervescence. Served tall over ice with a cherry and orange slice, it’s a refreshing, easy-to-sip option when you want something light but flavorful.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Scotch
  • 1 oz Lemon Juice
  • 1 tsp Caster Sugar
  • 3 oz Soda Water

Instructions

  1. In a shaker filled halfway with ice cubes, combine Scotch, lemon juice, and superfine sugar.
  2. Shake the mixture well to dissolve the sugar and chill the ingredients thoroughly.
  3. Strain the shaker's contents into a Collins glass that is almost filled with ice cubes.
  4. Top up the glass with club soda, allowing it to mix naturally with the base.
  5. Gently stir the drink to incorporate all the ingredients harmoniously.
  6. Garnish with a maraschino cherry and an orange slice on the rim of the glass for visual appeal and added flavor.
