Duke of Marlboro

A refined, bittersweet sipper that balances the dry, nutty notes of sherry with the warm herbal sweetness of rosso vermouth and a bright citrus edge from orange bitters and twist. It pours clear and ruby-amber into a chilled cocktail glass with an aromatic orange oil finish, an elegant aperitif worth trying when you want something low-proof yet flavorful.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz Dry Sherry
  • 1 oz Rosso Vermouth
  • 1 dash Orange Bitters

Instructions

  1. Place a generous amount of ice cubes in a mixing glass.
  2. Pour the dry sherry into the mixing glass.
  3. Add the rosso vermouth.
  4. Incorporate the orange bitters by adding a dash.
  5. Stir the mixture thoroughly to ensure it is chilled and the flavors combine well.
  6. Strain the mixture into a pre-chilled cocktail glass to remove the ice.
  7. Add a twist of orange peel as a garnish to enhance the aroma and presentation.
  8. Serve immediately to enjoy the drink at its optimal temperature.
