Frozen Aquavit

Bright lime and cherry notes cut through the savory, caraway-forward herbaceousness of aquavit, while a whole egg and sugar syrup give the drink a velvety, slightly sweet mouthfeel. Visually it’s a pale, frothy, chilled coupe piled with crushed ice for a slushy, refreshing finish. It’s worth trying if you like a cold, creamy, herb-forward cocktail with a surprising cherry lift.

Ingredients

  • 1.75 oz Aquavit
  • 0.25 oz Kirschwasser
  • 0.5 oz Lime Juice
  • 1 tsp Egg
  • 0.33 oz Sugar Syrup

Instructions

  1. Combine aquavit, Kirschwasser® cherry brandy, lime juice, egg, and sugar syrup in a shaker.
  2. Shake vigorously to ensure the egg is well mixed with the other ingredients.
  3. Strain the mixture into a chilled coupe glass filled with crushed ice.
  4. Serve immediately and enjoy your Frozen Aquavit.
