Deep, Dark Secret

A rich, silky after-dinner cocktail where dark and aged rums meet coffee liqueur, producing roasted, molasses and cocoa notes tempered by heavy cream for a velvety mouthfeel. It pours a deep brown with a smooth, slightly frothy surface and tastes like a boozy coffee-dessert, sweet, smooth and warming. Perfect as a nightcap or dessert cocktail for fans of coffee-and-cream combinations.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz Dark Rum
  • 0.5 oz Aged Rum
  • 0.5 oz Kahlúa® Coffee Liqueur
  • 0.5 oz Heavy Cream

Instructions

  1. Fill a shaker halfway with ice cubes.
  2. Combine the Dark Rum, Anejo Rum, Kahlua®, and Heavy Cream in the shaker.
  3. Shake vigorously to ensure all ingredients are well mixed.
  4. Strain the mixture into a cocktail glass, ensuring a smooth consistency without ice pieces.
