Thai-Pirinha

Bright, tangy lime meets warm ginger and creamy coconut in a playful tropical take on a caipirinha. The drink pours pale and slightly cloudy with muddled basil flecks and speckled crystallized ginger, finished with a cherry-and-ginger skewer for contrast. Worth ordering if you want a citrus-forward, herbaceous sipper that balances spicy ginger and sweet coconut.

Ingredients

  • 5 oz Lime
  • 1 slice Lemon
  • 2 count Crystallized Ginger
  • 1.5 tbsp Granulated Sugar
  • 1 leaf Thai Basil
  • 0.5 oz Domaine de Canton® Ginger Liqueur
  • 0.5 oz Coconut Milk
  • 1.5 oz Coconut Maraschino Cherries

Instructions

  1. In an Old-Fashioned glass, combine the limes, lemon, sugar, Thai basil, and one piece of crystalized ginger. Muddle until the sugar is mostly dissolved and the Thai basil is completely macerated.
  2. Add Domaine de Canton® ginger-infused coconut rum, Coconut Jack® milk, and coconut maraschino cherries to the glass.
  3. Cap the glass with a shaker tin and shake vigorously until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  4. Garnish with a skewer of ginger and cherry. Optionally, add a slice of lime.
  5. Serve the drink without a straw, encouraging guests to sip directly from the glass for maximum flavor.
