A gently sweet, pear-forward cooler where chilled Kerns pear nectar meets a whisper of vodka and slowly melting Petit Syrah cubes that add brambly red-wine depth and a changing color gradient. It looks striking in a wine goblet as the wine cubes bleed into the nectar, and is worth trying for the evolving, layered flavors that develop as it is sipped.

Ingredients

  • 2 cubes Petit Syrah Wine
  • 0.75 oz Vodka
  • 4 oz Kerns® Pear Nectar

Instructions

  1. Freeze Petit Syrah® wine in a standard ice cube tray.
  2. Chill the vodka and Kerns® pear nectar in the refrigerator.
  3. Place the frozen wine cubes into a wine goblet.
  4. Carefully pour vodka over the wine cubes.
  5. Add the chilled Kerns® pear nectar into the goblet.
  6. Serve immediately without stirring, and enjoy slowly as the flavors develop.
