A Port Wine Sangaree is a lightly effervescent, sweet long drink where tawny port brings raisiny, caramelized fruit and nutty notes while a brandy float adds a warm boozy perfume. Visually it’s a layered highball over crushed ice, topped with a lemon twist and a dusting of nutmeg and cinnamon that releases aromatic spice as you sip. It’s worth trying if you enjoy dessert-like, wine-forward cocktails with a fizzy, aromatic finish.
