Joan Miro

Bright ruby in color and syrupy on the palate, the Joan Miro blends Dubonnet's sweet, herbal fortified-wine notes with zesty orange from Grand Marnier and a smoky Scotch backbone. The result is a spirit-forward, smooth cocktail that balances sweetness and citrus with a restrained peatiness, an easy, sophisticated sipper worth trying for fans of fortified-wine and whisky pairings.

Ingredients

  • 1 part Dubonnet® Rouge
  • 1 part Grand Marnier® Orange Liqueur
  • 1 part Scotch

Instructions

  1. Fill a mixing glass with ice cubes to chill the ingredients.
  2. Add one part Dubonnet® Rouge to the mixing glass.
  3. Add one part Grand Marnier® Liqueur to the contents.
  4. Add one part Scotch Whisky to the mixture.
  5. Stir gently with a bar spoon to combine the flavors without over-diluting them.
  6. Strain the mixture through a strainer into a chilled cocktail glass.
  7. Garnish with a red cherry placed delicately on the rim of the glass.
