Coffin Nail

A short, spirit-forward pour that marries the almond sweetness of amaretto and the honeyed, herbaceous warmth of Drambuie with a smoky Scotch backbone. It appears as a deep amber drink over clear ice and tastes rich, sweet, nutty and warming with a pronounced whisky finish. Great as a simple after-dinner sipper or nightcap for fans of boozy, dessert-like cocktails.

Ingredients

  • 0.5 oz Amaretto Liqueur
  • 0.5 oz Drambuie® Liqueur
  • 1.5 oz Scotch

Instructions

  1. Fill an old-fashioned glass with ice cubes.
  2. Pour the amaretto almond liqueur over the ice.
  3. Add Drambuie® Scotch whisky to the glass.
  4. Top off with the Scotch whisky.
  5. Gently stir the mixture to combine the flavors.
  6. Serve immediately without garnish.
