Jamaica Cooler

Bright and refreshing, the Jamaica Cooler pairs the molasses warmth of dark rum with zesty lemon and a fizzy lift from 7-Up, softened by a spoon of sugar and a couple dashes of orange bitters. It pours golden and effervescent over ice in a red wine glass, giving a relaxed, casual look with a lively soda head. Try it when you want a simple, crowd-pleasing summer sipper that's more flavorful than a basic rum & soda.

Ingredients

  • 2.25 oz Dark Rum
  • Fill 7Up®
  • 2 dashes Orange Bitters
  • 0.5 oz Lemon Juice
  • 1 tsp Granulated Sugar

Instructions

  1. Pour dark rum into a red wine glass.
  2. Stir in sugar until fully dissolved.
  3. Add orange bitters and freshly squeezed lemon juice.
  4. Add a few ice cubes to the glass.
  5. Fill the glass with 7-Up® Soda.
  6. Stir well to combine all ingredients.
