Drink Recipe

Ritchie Ritchie

A creamy, coffee-forward after-dinner drink where warm coffee and chocolatey crème de cacao meet the mellow caramel and oak of aged rum, finished with a silky float of heavy cream and a dusting of cinnamon. It looks inviting with a distinct cream layer topping dark coffee, and tastes like a boozy coffee-chocolate dessert, smooth, rich, and gently spiced. Worth trying if you enjoy indulgent, warming nightcaps that bridge cocktail and coffee.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz Aged Rum
  • 2 tsp Crème de Cacao Brun Liqueur
  • 2 tsp Crème de Cacao Blanc Liqueur
  • 4 oz Coffee
  • 2 oz Heavy Cream

Instructions

  1. Combine anejo rum, dark creme de cacao, white creme de cacao, and hot coffee in an Irish coffee cup.
  2. Gently pour heavy cream over the back of a teaspoon into the cup, allowing it to float on top.
  3. Sprinkle ground cinnamon over the cream.
  4. Serve immediately.
