Vodka Salty Dog

A crisp, thirst-quenching long drink that balances tart, slightly bitter grapefruit with clean vodka and a bright saline edge from the salt. Pale pink and served over ice, it looks bright and refreshing in a highball. Great as a simple aperitif or summer sipper when you want a bracing cocktail made with just a few ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 5 oz Grapefruit Juice
  • 1.5 oz Vodka
  • 0.25 tsp Salt

Instructions

  1. Fill a highball glass with ice cubes.
  2. Pour in the grapefruit juice.
  3. Add the vodka to the glass.
  4. Sprinkle the salt over the ingredients in the glass.
  5. Stir the mixture well until thoroughly combined.
  6. Serve immediately.
