Hard Case pairs warm, oak-driven cognac with plush blackcurrant sweetness from crème de cassis and a bright lemon lift; the result is rich, fruity, and slightly tart. It pours a deep amber with a ruby hue in a snifter and is worth trying as a refined, spirit-forward after-dinner sipper.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz Cognac
  • 0.5 oz Crème de Cassis Liqueur
  • 0.25 oz Lemon Juice

Instructions

  1. Combine the cognac, creme de cassis, and lemon juice in a mixing glass filled with ice.
  2. Stir well to mix the ingredients thoroughly.
  3. Strain the mixture into a brandy snifter.
  4. Serve immediately.
