Lava Flow

A creamy, tropical blend of banana, coconut and pineapple with a bright strawberry-and-rum ribbon running through it. Visually striking, a pink, lava-like stream over a pale, slushy coconut base, it tastes like a boozy tropical smoothie with rich coconut and fresh fruit. It's a crowd-pleasing, dessert-style drink worth ordering for poolside or party occasions.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz Light Rum
  • 1 oz Malibu® Coconut Rum
  • 2 oz Strawberries
  • 1 Banana
  • 2 oz Pineapple Juice
  • 2 oz Coconut Cream

Instructions

  1. Combine the banana, coconut cream, and pineapple juice in a blender and blend until smooth. Set aside.
  2. In the base of a hurricane glass, mix together the light rum, Malibu® rum, and strawberries.
  3. Slowly pour the blended banana, coconut, and pineapple mixture into the glass, allowing the strawberry and rum mixture to rise along the sides of the glass for a visually appealing presentation.
