Stormy Weather

An intense, herbaceous highball that pairs Fernet’s bitter, mentholated backbone with the dry, aromatic lift of vermouth and a pale minty note from white crème de menthe. It pours pale green over ice and drinks bold, bitter, and slightly cooling, a complex refreshment rather than a sweet sipper. Worth trying if you enjoy assertive, spirit-forward cocktails with a minty twist and digestif-like finish.

Ingredients

  • 0.75 oz Fernet Branca®
  • 0.75 oz Dry Vermouth
  • 0.25 oz Crème de Menthe Blanche Liqueur

Instructions

  1. Place a few fresh ice cubes in a highball glass.
  2. Pour 0.75 oz of Fernet Branca® Bitters into the glass.
  3. Add 0.75 oz of dry vermouth to the glass.
  4. Measure and pour 0.25 oz of white creme de menthe into the mix.
  5. Gently stir the mixture to combine the ingredients thoroughly.
  6. Serve the drink immediately in the highball glass.
