El Presidente Edwardo

Bright, slightly sweet and orange-forward, this riff on the El Presidente balances aged rum's vanilla and caramel notes with dry vermouth's herbal dryness and a touch of grenadine for color and sweetness. It pours a pale salmon hue and is clean and silky on the palate, a refined, easy-drinking aperitif worth ordering when you want something elegant but not overly complex.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz Aged Rum
  • 0.5 oz White Curaçao Liqueur
  • 1 oz Dry Vermouth
  • 1 dash Grenadine

Instructions

  1. Add gold rum, white curacao liqueur, dry vermouth, and grenadine syrup into a shaker.
  2. Fill the shaker with ice and secure the lid tightly.
  3. Shake thoroughly until the mixture is well-chilled.
  4. Strain the mixture into a chilled cocktail glass.
